What Is Hyperdilute Radiesse?

Radiesse™ is a type of dermal filler made of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres that work immediately upon injection. CaHA is comprised of phosphate and calcium, which occur naturally in the human body. At Blue Seas Med Spa, we reserve Radiesse for use as a collagen stimulating treatment through a technique of hyperdilution.

This newer and highly effective technique combines Radiesse with saline and lidocaine, allowing for a more comfortable treatment. The Hyperdilute Radiesse is then injected into the desired area through a thin cannula. CaHA particles then integrate into your skin and creates a “scaffold” that stimulates production of collagen and elastin which are imperative to maintain our skin support.

Hyperdilute Radiesse FAQ

Almost any area where you have skin laxity and volume loss. The most common treatment areas are:

  • Hands
  • Neck and Décolleté
  • Inner Upper Arms
  • Buttocks
  • Lower face
  • Abdomen
  • Above the knees

The collagen stimulating effects of the treatment will take about 4-6 weeks post treatment and can be expected to peak at 6 months. The new stimulated collagen and elastin continue to maintain a result. You will continue to age, but will age from a better place.

We recommend 2 – 3 treatments performed 1-2 month apart for optimal results. The number you will need will depend on your overall skin health, amount of skin laxity and volume loss. To maintain results we recommend a follow up treatment approximately once per year.

Very mild bruising, swelling and discomfort after treatment may occur. These are temporary and will resolve within a few days.
